SEMINAR OF ALUMNI NETWORKING OF FACULTY OF ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING

On Sunday morning, June 21, 2026, at Hall 202, 35-37 Ho Hao Hon Street, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, successfully held the “2026 Alumni Networking Workshop of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing”.
The program was organized to strengthen the connection between the Faculty and generations of alumni; and to create a space for exchange, sharing professional experiences, updating professional knowledge, and expanding opportunities for cooperation between lecturers, students, alumni, and experts in the field of accounting and auditing.
The program was attended by representatives of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing leadership, esteemed lecturers, invited guests, and a large number of alumni and current students of the Faculty.
– Three Practical Professional Topics
Within the framework of the workshop, three guest speakers presented specialized topics, providing much useful information on professional practices, changes in the business environment, and the requirements for accounting and auditing human resources in the current period.
The first guest speaker, Mr. Vo Hung Vi – a former student of the 2012 cohort, presented the topic “Digital Transformation in Accounting and Auditing Enterprises”. The content focused on data standardization to serve the digital transformation work in accounting and auditing enterprises.
Following that, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Quoc Thong – Deputy Director of the Accounting Department, Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, shared the topic “Application of AI in Accounting Work”. The presentation helped participants better understand the use of AI to support accounting work, while also offering practical recommendations for students and professionals.
The third topic, presented by Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hien – Director of the Auditing Department, was “Skills in reviewing data during the preparation and presentation of financial statements.” The guest speaker shared many practical experiences related to reviewing data in the preparation of financial statements.
The presentations not only provided professional knowledge but also created opportunities for participants to directly exchange ideas with the guest speakers on issues of interest in the fields of accounting, auditing, finance, and business management.
– Strengthening connections between the Faculty and generations of alumni
One of the important contents of the program was the meeting and exchange between generations of alumni of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing. Many alumni shared memories of their studies, experiences in building their careers, and lessons learned in the practical working environment.
Through career stories, students currently studying at the Faculty have the opportunity to access authentic perspectives on the labor market, the requirements of businesses, and Essential skills to adapt to the rapidly changing accounting and auditing profession.
The program also provides an opportunity for the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing to listen to feedback from alumni and experts on training activities, curriculum content, professional skills development, and strengthening cooperative relationships between the University and businesses.
– Towards a cohesive and sustainable alumni community
Speaking at the program, Ms. Tran Tuyet Thanh – Vice Head of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing – emphasized the important role of alumni in building and developing the brand of the Faculty and the University. The success of each alumnus is not only a source of personal pride but also contributes to affirming the quality of training and the prestige of Ho Chi Minh City Open University in society.
Through the workshop, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing hopes to continue maintaining and developing an increasingly cohesive, professional, and effective alumni network; thereby creating conditions for generations of students to support each other in their work and share experiences. Career opportunities, professional collaboration, and contributions to the Faculty’s training activities.
– Communication about the alumni scholarship fund of Ho Chi Minh City Open University
At the workshop, the organizing committee also informed alumni about the alumni scholarship fund of Ho Chi Minh City Open University. The scholarship fund was established to support students in difficult circumstances and students with good academic achievements. This is a noble gesture of the alumni, and at the same time demonstrates the tradition and connection between generations of alumni of the University.
The 2026 Alumni Networking Workshop of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing took place in a solemn, friendly, and open atmosphere. Practical professional content and meaningful networking activities left many positive impressions on guests, alumni, lecturers, and students in attendance.
The program concluded but simultaneously opened up many opportunities for future connection and cooperation, contributing to building The Accounting and Auditing Faculty community is becoming increasingly united, dynamic, and sustainably developing.
