On the morning of December 11, 2025, at the Traditional Hall, 97 Vo Van Tan campus, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with three accounting and auditing businesses to help students access practical industry experience, overcome challenges and pressures in the field, and prepare the necessary skills for entering the rapidly developing AI technology era.

The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Xuan Truong – Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Dr. Ho Huu Thuy – Head of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing; Dr. Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh – Deputy Head of the Student Affairs and Communication Department, along with lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing.
Representatives from the businesses included Mr. Pham Ngoc Hoang Thanh – CEO of Smart Train Academy Co., Ltd.; Mr. Pham Van Vinh – General Director of Moore AISC Auditing and Information Technology Services Co., Ltd. and Mr. Pham Van Gioi – Chairman of the Board of Members of MBA Auditing Firm Co., Ltd.
During the ceremony, Dr. Ho Huu Thuy emphasized that the connection between the University and businesses is a crucial element in the Faculty’s development strategy. He also frankly shared the reality of the industry, especially the auditing major with its high professional demands and significant work pressure, and affirmed that preparing students for early exposure to practical situations is extremely necessary.

In addition, representatives from businesses also agreed that graduating students need to understand that accounting and auditing work is not just theory, but also full of challenges in the practical work process, from updating public policy documents to tax filing procedures.
During the discussions, the University expressed its desire for students to have early exposure to practical issues in the industry to guide their future career development, identify a path that suits their abilities and personal qualities. At the same time, the cooperation also helps students prepare psychologically and develop the skills to face and manage work pressure, and continuously update their practical knowledge and technology.

The cooperation program between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and the businesses aims at three main objectives, creating a practical and high-quality educational environment:
Firstly, to leverage the capabilities and strengths of each party, effectively utilizing facilities, human resources, and expertise in training high-quality human resources to meet the practical needs of the organizations.
Secondly, the collaboration aims to enhance professional expertise in student training programs across the university’s fields of study and improve the unit’s operational efficiency.
Thirdly, this cooperation will bring practical benefits to both parties in the areas of practical training and the development of high-quality human resources.

Organizing training sessions and practical experience exchanges with business experts, helping students understand the challenges, opportunities, and real-world work processes in the accounting and auditing industry.
Providing internship opportunities at partner businesses, allowing students to apply their knowledge to daily work, familiarize themselves with the real-world work environment, and learn from experts.
Supporting the development of professional skills, especially in the field of technology and artificial intelligence applications, helping students keep up with the rapid changes in the industry.

Mr. Pham Van Gioi, representative of MBA Auditing Firm Co., Ltd., positively assessed the capabilities of current students: “In reality, students have a very fast learning ability, therefore training and applying technology in their work is quite favorable.” This is a great advantage for both businesses and the university.
Currently, the accounting and auditing industry is witnessing significant changes due to the development of artificial intelligence technology.
